Halo Infinite has benefited from a fairly consistent rotation of game types, in part due to the game's events. According to a new leak, next week's Tactical Ops event will be bringing a whole handful of new game types to Halo Infinite, more than the standard one mode per event that has been the case so far.
Fans have known about the Tactical Ops event for some time now, it being teased way back at Halo Infinite's launch as one of the game's upcoming events. In order to combat the drought of game types that was present during Halo Infinite's first month, 343 Industries added multiple modes to the game, one of which was the primary mode of this upcoming event, Tactical Slayer. Previously known as SWAT, Tactical Slayer spawns players with Battle Rifles and lets them instantly kill enemies with a single headshot. It is a game mode that often comes down to who can fire first.
Halo Infinite Update Makes Big Improvements to Big Team Battle
A Halo Infinite leaker has discovered files for multiple Tactical Slayer variants likely coming in the Tactical Ops event that runs from February 8 to February 21. Besides the standard BR start Tactical Slayer, according to Twitter suer leaks_infinite, there will also be versions of the game mode with the Sidekick pistol, the Commando rifle, the Stalker rifle, and the Mangler. It is currently unclear if these game types will be individually selectable or if by queuing into the Tactical Slayer playlist, these variations will be randomly selected per match. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a Bulldog shotgun Tactical Slayer variant.
