The upcoming Hogwarts Legacy will reportedly include dungeons and camps, and could be taking inspiration from The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, at least according to a new leak detailing its gameplay. The new AAA RPG set in the Wizarding World was announced way back in 2020, but Avalanche Software and WB Games have been relatively silent about it since. What is known is that Hogwarts Legacy is an 1800s-set prequel thatwill allow players to become their own witches and wizards, learning magic at the legendary Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry, at a time way before the events of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts books and films.
As indicated by the Hogwarts Legacy reveal trailer from two years ago, the game will allow players to explore the world beyond the walls of Hogwarts itself, possibly including classic locations like Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and the Forbidden Forest. Hogwarts Legacy will also let players level up their various magical abilities and recruit companions to help them complete missions, and Avalanche Software has hinted that there might be narrative choices that shape the player’s journey into becoming either a champion of good or an evil practitioner of Dark Magic. While unconfirmed, recent rumors suggest Hogwarts Legacy could launch in September.
