For almost 45 years, serial killer Michael Myers has been a horror movie staple with the Halloween movie franchise being its own cornerstone of the genre. Now, after 12 sequels and a couple of reboots, the war between brother Michael, and sister Laurie, comes to a head in Halloween Ends.
The first trailer for the supposed final Halloween movie dropped and it's a quick one. However, it delivers intense brutality in such a short amount of time with it primarily being a bloody fight between Michael and Laurie.
Halloween Ends is directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan, and Chris Bernier and is the coincidentally thirteenth installment of the Halloween franchise. Jamie Lee Curtis and James Jude Courtney are once again reprising their roles as Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Kyle Richards, and Omar Dorsey will reprise their roles as Laurie's granddaughter, Allyson, Deputy Frank Hawkins, Lindsey Wallace, and Sheriff Barker, respectively.
There's a bit of a time jump between Ends and the previous installment of Halloween Kills, which came out last year. Four years after the events, we have Laurie trying to embrace life and finish her memoirs. When a young man is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it brings Laurie to finally confront the evil of her past one last time.
Halloween Ends is scheduled to be released on October 14.
