One of the greatest rivalries in the horror genre is seemingly coming to an end in the Halloween Ends trailer. Jamie Lee Curtis is back to lead the cast of the upcoming threequel as Laurie Strode, the iconic final girl who's fought Michael Myers for over 40 years. Plot details are currently unknown for the film, though it is expected for Halloween Ends to have a time jump of three years after the events of Halloween Kills, in which Michael finally made his way back home and stabbed and seemingly killed Laurie's daughter Karen.
Alongside Curtis, the cast for Halloween Ends will feature the returns of Andi Matichak as Laurie's granddaughter Allyson, James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle as Myers, Will Patton as Deputy Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace and Omar Dorsey as Sheriff Barker. The film will also mark the franchise debuts of Michael O'Leary as Dr. Mathis, a character briefly mentioned in Halloween Kills, and Rohan Campbell as Corey, Allyson's new boyfriend after Cameron's death in the prior film. David Gordon Green is back at the helm for Halloween Ends with a script he co-wrote with Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier.
Following Curtis' hint last week of its release date, Universal Pictures has unveiled the first Halloween Ends trailer. The video offers the first look at the highly anticipated horror threequel expected to mark the final chapter in Laurie Strode and Haddonfield's battle against Michael Myers.
