'Grinning Girl' From Popular Meme Has Died at Age 16
Meme templates have been created over the years based on countless sources from popular television shows to photos from family albums that have made it to the internet in time. Tragically, a girl from TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras who inspired one of the popular memes of today called «Grinning Girl» has been found dead due to suicide.
The TLC network ran a series called Toddlers and Tiaras from 2009 until 2014 in which young girls compete in beauty pageants, and the show has inspired a spin-off series and memes alike. Many viewers have known about the Honey Boo Boo memes from Toddlers and Tiaras for a while, but Kailia Posey, who was another contestant on the show, has also been featured on many memes as her priceless «Grinning Girl» reaction is a great response to many inquiries. Kailia's family recently confirmed the former star took her own life in her Washington residence in «one impetuous moment.»

Kailia's mother Marcy Posey Gatterman confirmed the passing of Kailia on May 2 with a brief Facebook post expressing her love for the child and pain in her loss. «I don’t have words or any thoughts,» she said, «a beautiful baby girl is gone. Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever.» Marcy also spoke to TMZ about her daughter and her plans to earn a commercial pilot's license and pursue acting before her life was cut short.
Since the Facebook post went live, over seven thousand people have reacted to it, with hundreds of comments expressing condolences, support, and in many cases, memories of the late teenager.
