A new leak has seemingly revealed some of the critical details about the cameras on Google's upcoming Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphones. Google originally gave a sneak peak of its Pixel 7-series devices at this year's I/O developer conference in May. Alongside the new phones, Google also teased the much-rumored Pixel Watch and the Pixel tablet at the event, and unveiled the Pixel 6a and Pixel Buds Pro, making it a petty eventful I/O keynote this year.
While Google kept much of the details about its Pixel 7 and 7 Pro under wraps, the company did reveal that there will be a change in the look and feel of the phones this year. Unlike the Pixel 6-series, the Pixel 7 lineup will use an aluminum camera bar at the back to give it a more premium look and feel. The two devices are also expected to be powered by Google's second-generation Tensor chip that should offer improved performance when compared to the first gen silicon.

Developer Kuba Wojciechowski claims to have spotted the camera hardware configurations for the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel Tablet, and a surprise device while digging through Google's code. According to the Twitter thread, both phones will sport Samsung's 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN1 sensor as the primary camera and Sony's 12-megapixel IMX381 sensor as the ultra-wide camera, like the Pixel 6 series. In addition, the Pixel 7 Pro will come with a 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor for the telephoto camera instead of the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor found on the Pixel 6 Pro. On the front, both devices will have an 11MP Samsung ISOCELL 3J1 sensor for selfies and video chats.
