Apple Watch Series 8 leak reveals a SURPRISE new buyers may not like
While the world is eagerly looking forward to the iPhone 14, rumours suggest that the September launch event is going to also reveal the successor to the Apple Watch Series 7. Expected to be called the Apple Watch Series 8, two models are expected to be announced this year; the new one being a Pro model aimed at durability. A new leak now speaks about the standard Watch Series 8 and it reveals some surprising bits that new buyers seeking to upgrade may not like.
Based on a tip from AppleShrimpPro on Twitter, a tipster, it is said that the Apple Watch Series 8 will carry on with the same design that debuted on the Watch Series 7. That means you will continue to get the same narrow-bezel display and the same curved design we loved. That also means the crown and the button will also stay on the watch. Apple will, however, only have Aluminum and Stainless Steel bodies on the Watch Series 8 – no Titanium.
There is also expected to be a reduction in the number of colours you can configure your Apple Watch in. The Watch Series 8 will come in Red, Starlight, Midnight and Silver for the Aluminium variant. The Stainless Steel variant will be available in Silver and Graphite colours.
The tipster also said that there is no new sensor visible on the Watch Series 8, which goes on to hint that we could be seeing the same set of biosensors that have been around since the Watch Series 6.
What remains to be seen is whether Apple gives the Series 8 a new chipset or some other internal upgrades. The main focus is expected to be on the more premium rugged Apple Watch meant for sportspersons, which is expected to have a Titanium body.
