In the Underground Chasm, Genshin Impact players will come across a new Automaton boss called the Ruin Serpent. This snake-like machine is said to have been made for digging, even through the hardest bedrock.
As of its release in Genshin Impact 2.6, defeating this boss doesn’t really have any purpose. However, as players continue their journey in The Chasm, they’ll be forced to fight the Ruin Serpent at one point. At the end of the battle, a mysterious, dark-haired girl will provide assistance, albeit from a distance. It’s easy to assume that this girl will be the character requiring the Ruin Serpent’s boss drop in Genshin Impact.

The Ruin Serpent boss in Genshin Impact doesn't have any complicated mechanics. Players can easily defeat it even without neutralizing its special moves.
After a certain amount of time, the Ruin Serpent will create Oozing Concretions in the arena. Then, it will draw power from the Dark Mud. If Travelers fail to remove the Oozing Concretions, the enemy will launch a special attack, which can have devastating consequences.
To remove the Oozing Concretions, players have to reach at least level two with their Lumenstone Adjuvant. If the gadget is not refined enough, then Travelers will have to fight this boss quickly before it can draw power from the Dark Mud.
The Oozing Concretions will slowly chip the Lumentsone Adjuvant’s energy, so players should be careful and not step on it. However, if the Limestone Adjuvant runs out of energy, the Travelers shouldn't worry. Every once in a while, a yellow crystal will appear on the field. Players can destroy it to regenerate the gadget's energy.
