The artist for one of DC Comics recent Round Robin comic contest pitches, Skylar Patridge has revealed the cover she created for a new Green Lantern story titled Green Lantern: The Birth of Conspiracy. While The Birth of Conspiracy was voted out of the Round Robin contest at the end of Round 2, DC has recently revealed that it is one of several «failed» pitches that will be published in a six-page story.
The Green Lantern pitch would focus on Alan Scott, the first ever Green Lantern of Earth from DC's Golden Age, who is a beloved character but has not had a lot of spotlight in recent years of publication. Originally a member of the Justice Society of America, Alan Scott and the JSA have gone through periods of being removed from continuity and retconned. Most recently Scott's Green Lantern has been brought back into the official fold of DC Comics in the Infinite Frontier era, which establishes that all former worlds and stories within DC publication history are canon.
