Young Justice strongly suggests that it shares a universe with the beloved Green Lantern: The Animated Series while setting up new storylines if the show was ever revived. Young Justice and Green Lantern shared the DC Nation programming block on Cartoon Network in 2012 and 2013, and while both shows were unfortunately canceled (with Green Lantern ending after season 1 and Young Justice ending after season 2), Young Justice received a well-deserved revival. The latest episodes of Young Justice not only feature welcome connections to the prematurely canceled Green Lantern series, but they also provide hints as to what stories might be featured in a Green Lantern revival.
Green Lantern: The Animated Series not only stars comic-accurate depictions of Hal Jordan and Kilowog, but also two newcomers: the sapient artificial intelligence system Aya and the redeemed Red Lantern Razer. Green Lantern’s loving depiction of the Green Lantern mythos and its four compelling main characters make it as worthy of a revival as Young Justice, though a revival never seemed likely until recently.

Two episodes later, the Green Lantern Tomar-Re shockingly dies defending New Genesis from Lor-Zod
