Apple may have stolen the focus yesterday with new MacBooks and an M2 processor, but LG decided to go ahead and refresh its entire range of ultra-light Gram laptops as well as introducing a portable monitor.
The 17-inch, 16-inch, 15-inch, 14-inch, and 2-in-1 hybrid Gram devices have all been updated to use Intel's 12th Gen Alder Lake Core processors. Alongside the performance increase offered by the new chips, each Gram laptop will ship with a Gen4 NVMe SSD, LPDDR5 RAM, and run Windows 11.
LG opted for the Intel Core i7-1260P running at 2.1GHz boosting to 4.7GHz with Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM can be selected depending on the model, and it runs at 5,200MHz. It allows each laptop to automatically lock the screen if the user steps away, but also blurs content on the screen if it detects someone looking over your shoulder. And if you have a second screen attached, the mouse cursor and window focus will change automatically depending on which screen you look at.
