Bart Allen's Whole DC Comics History Captured in One Epic Speed Force Panel
The entire DC Comics history of Bart Allen AKA Impulse was once depicted through theSpeed Force in an epic panel. The young speedster reminisces about his past as a part of the Flash Family as he shows the extent of his powers.
The Flash Family spans throughout the DC Universe, beginning with Jay Garrick and into the distant future with Barry Allen’s grandson, Bart Allen from the 30th Century. Famously known as Impulse, the future Flash has rivaled his predecessors’ speed. Benefitting from previous generations who passed on the Speed Force to him, Bart had a leg up on other speedsters. In The Flash: Fastest Man Alive #2, it was practically confirmed the Bart Allen is even faster than Barry. He continues to show off what he can do in Young Justice #16 (2020), written by Brian Michael Bendis and David Walker with art by Scott Godlewski colors by Gabe Eltaeb.

While Impulse runs in the Speed Force, he recollects his past adventures. The epic panel depicts his youth predating his superhero years, the imposing Superboy-Prime, villains such as the Dominators, his teammates in the Teen Titans, and the original Flash Family composed of Barry Allen, Jesse Quick, Max Mercury, and Jay Garrick. In the process, Bart’s costume changes, representing various eras in his comic book history. The previous familiar costumes include his original ‘90s look as Impulse and two variations of the yellow-suited Kid Flash design.
