Game Rant is back with another episode of Game Rant Arcade, the official podcast for the site. As revealed last episode, host Cameron Corliss will be stepping away from his duties on the podcast, so Anthony Taormina has taken over for the time being. More importantly, Game Rant Arcade can welcome back its only guest for a repeat appearance – Christian Spicer has returned!
On Game Rant Arcade Episode 65, Anthony and Christian mix up the format and dig into some of the games, movies, and TV shows that they have been playing/watching over the last month or so. The hot new release for this week is Tunic, which is a Zelda-inspired indie game that mixes a little Souls-like into its formula. Game Rant reviewed Tunic and gave it a 4/5 and both Christian and Anthony are in the agreement that this is something special.
Other gaming topics on the podcast include Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, the new game from Nioh developer, Team Ninja. Meant to act as a reimagining of the first Final Fantasy story, Stranger of Paradise builds on Team Ninja’s experience with Souls-like games and folds in some classic Final Fantasy elements like jobs. Of course, a lot of the discussion around Stranger of Paradise has been the meme-worthy dialogue, so make sure to tune in and find out what other gems Anthony discovered while playing the game.
Anthony also was able to watch the first episode of the Halo TV series, which is set to debut on Paramount+ later this month. Halo has been in development for quite a while now and has seemingly undergone a lot of transformation in the time since.
