Game of Thrones stars Nathalie Emmanuel, Isaac Hempstead Wright, and Kristian Nairn had a mini-reunion for the opening of the show's new Studio Tour in Northern Ireland. Based on George R.R. Martin's novels, Game of Thrones ran for eight seasons from 2011 to 2019. The fantasy series revolved around the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros where several powerful families, or Houses, fought for the Iron Throne. With its complex characters, compelling story, and impressive production, the series was a huge hit and attracted a record-breaking viewership for HBO.
Emmanuel, Wright, and Nairn became household names for playing key roles in Game of Thrones. Wright was one of the child actors who were part of the cast since season 1. He played Bran, Ned Stark's fourth son who was injured in the first season and later became the Three-Eyed Raven. Hodor, Nairn's character, was a simple-minded but loyal servant to the Starks and served as Bran's companion when he escaped Winterfell. Meanwhile, Emmanuel joined Game of Thrones in its third season, playing Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) trusted friend and advisor.
Emmanuel, Wright, and Nairn reunited last Friday, February 4, for the opening of the GoT Studio Tour at Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. The trio were all smiles as they helped "break the chains" to mark the attraction's first day. Emmanuel, who also served as the tour's narrator, shared some photos of their fun reunion on Instagram and called the day "a trip down memory lane." Meanwhile, Nairn and Wright found time to goof around with the latter hopping on Hodor's back just like old times.
