With many long-lasting RPG franchises, there's a strong community of fans that have supported those games for years, and Pokemon is no exception. The number of players the franchise has only seems to grow year after year with titles such as Pokemon GO and Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and these fans all hold their own opinions on the series and its many Pocket Monsters. Over the 26 years Pokemon has been around, the series has amassed a total of creatures to its name that goes well beyond 900. There's a chance that the next Pokemon generation, marked with the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, may set that total to over a thousand. Others shortly joined in, with a majority of the debate dealing with starters such as Turtwig or Chimchar.
