Pokemon GO Adding New Region Exclusive Pokemon
Pokemon GO is in the midst of the Season of Alola, in which it is slowly introducing Pokemon from the Alola region to the popular augmented reality mobile game. So far, all the new Generation 7 Pokemon added to Pokemon GO as part of the Season of Alola have been available across the board, but that will be changing soon with the introduction of a new region-exclusive Pokemon.
Pokemon GO is kicking off its limited-time Festival of Colors event starting Tuesday, March 15 at 10:00am local time and until Sunday, March 20 at 8:00pm local time. During the event, Pokemon GO players will have the first opportunity to catch Generation 7 Pokemon Oricorio, but there's a twist. A different version of Oricorio will be available to Pokemon GO players depending on what region of the world they're in, effectively making it a region exclusive Pokemon even though it will still only take up one Pokedex slot.
Niantic's New Game Might Be Called Campfire
Pokemon GO players in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will be able to get Baile Style Oricorio, while those in the Americas will have the chance to catch Pom-Pom Style Oricorio. Those in African, Asian, Pacific, and Caribbean islands can catch Pa'u Style Oricorio, while those in the Asia-Pacific region can get Sensu Style Oricorio. It's possible that Niantic will one day make the other Oricorio forms available in other regions in the world, but for now Pokemon GO players will have to physically travel to these locations to get the Pokemon.
