Actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau portrayed Jaime Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones fantasy series, but he hasn't seen the spin-off show, House of the Dragon, just yet. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Coster-Waldau said he plans to wait for «a couple of seasons» and then dive in.
«I'll wait. I'll give it a couple of seasons, then I can binge watch it and then there's the whole thing,» he said. «But I know that so many people love that show, and I'm really happy for them.»

Coster-Waldau did, however, come across the opening sequence for House of the Dragon. He said it was «a little strange» because it uses the same music as the original Game of Thrones.
«I was like, 'Ah, this is too soon. Too soon,'» he said.
Coster-Waldau isn't alone among Game of Thrones alums in opting out of watching House of the Dragon. Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys, said she «just can't» bring herself to watch the show.
«It's kind of like someone saying, 'You want to go to this school reunion that's not your year? You want to go to that school reunion?' That's kind of how it feels. I'm avoiding it,» she told Variety (via EW).
House of the Dragon will return for its second season, and it's expected to have eight episodes, compared to 10 for Season 1.
