The planet-devouring Galactusis one of the most powerful forces in the Marvel Universe and his Heralds are able to share in that power, but one Herald in particular stands above the rest and makes the Silver Surferlook pathetic. When Galactus chooses a Herald, he bestows upon them the Power Cosmic which grants them immense power including the freedom to travel the galaxy and search for planets for Galactus to consume. One of Galactus’ Heralds known as Morg reached a power level greater than just the Power Cosmic, and became stronger than the Silver Surfer ever was.
Morg debuted in Silver Surfer#69 by Ron Marz, Kevin West, Tom Christopher, and Tom Vincent. Upon his introduction, it became apparent that Morg was a darker character than the Silver Surfer in how he assisted Galactus in his consumption of countless planets. The Silver Surfer made it a point to only find planets void of life for Galactus to consume, but Morg specifically picked worlds that were teeming with life just for the sick pleasure of snuffing out the lives of billions. It was on one of these worlds Morg put on the chopping block where Morg tapped into a power source that made him immensely stronger than the Silver Surfer.

When Morg first became a Herald of Galactus, he and the Silver Surfer were equally matched as they both wielded the Power Cosmic. When Morg visited the planet Bastion, he discovered the Well of Life, a power source that increased his already incredible abilities to near unstoppable levels on a cosmic scale.
