The zinc-copper alloy, stainless steel, and leather sword is made through lost-wax casting, with additional engraving, milling finishing, and manual polishing to recreate every detail of the Lich King's infamous runeblade.

One of the most well known artifacts in Warcraft history, Frostmourne was originally introduced in Warcraft III, in which the Lordaeron prince turned death knight Arthas Menethil was seduced by its power, forever damning himself and his kingdom to death and corruption. Upon reuniting the cursed blade with the Helm of Domination at the peak of Northrend's Frozen Throne, Arthas Menethil became the Lich King: Jailer of the Damned, Lord of the Scourge, and arch-enemy to the living.
