Forza Motorsport will be “the most technically advanced racing game ever”, according to developer Turn 10 Studios.
Speaking in a deep dive video shared during Xbox & Bethesda‘s Developer Direct on Wednesday night, the next entry in the racing series was fully revealed.
The new entry will mark the first mainline Forza Motorsport game on the current generation of consoles, following Forza Horizon 5 in 2021. No release date for the game was announced.
Forza Motorsport will feature over 500 real-world cars at launch, according to its developer.
The game will also include more than 800 unique upgrades and custom modifications, it said. “We’re also delivering the most modern race cars that we have ever featured on our roster,” according to Chris Esaki, creative director of Forza Motorsport.
Forza Motorsport will launch with 20 environments featuring multiple track layouts. In addition to fan favourites, five all-new-to-Motorsport locations will feature in the game, including the first in South Africa – Kyalami.
Courses will “depict ten times more realistic detail, including highly detailed vegetation and overgrowth,” according to Turn 10. “With all the cutting-edge visuals, including tens of thousands of fully animated 3D spectators, each player will feel immersed in the spectacle of racing.”
Forza Motorsport will release for Xbox Series X|S, Windows, Steam and Cloud Gaming later in 2023.
