Want to see a T-Rex stomp round New York City with a roller-skating teenager? Well, Disney has the perfect new Marvel animated series just for you: Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. To lure you in, the first episode is even available to watch for people without a cable or Disney+ subscription.
That's right, Disney has posted the entire premiere on YouTube. The nearly 45-minute episode called «Moon Girl Landing» shows us the origins of 13-year-old Lunella Lafayette's relationship with Devil Dinosaur. She brings the 10-ton creature to the Lower East Side after creating a portal generator.
Together, they try to protect their community, which is experiencing blackouts in this debut. The culprit behind them is a villain named Aftershock. She also has a surprising connection to Lunella.
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur premiered February 10 on Disney Channel, with the series then arriving five days later on Disney+. The show stars Diamond White as Lunella, along with Fred Tatasciore, Alfre Woodard, Sasheer Zamata, Jermaine Fowler, Gary Anthony Williams, and Libe Barer. Laurence Fishburne is an executive producer and also guests as the voice of The Beyonder.
Two new episodes of the show are planned to premiere each Saturday for roughly the next couple of months. Marvel also has another big animated series on its way this year with X-Men '97.
