Fortnite's OG season seems to be a huge success, as tons of players are requesting that Epic make a permanent game mode that involves the original Chapter 1 map.
With a new all-time best concurrent player count of more than 6,000,000 players achieved yesterday, it looks like Fortnite is back to being one of the most talked-about games again. These kinds of player boosts are fairly common for new seasons and chapters, but there's one very clear reason why everyone's taking a trip back to The Island - the Chapter 1 map.

It seems like the perfect combination of old and new, because Fortnite players haven't seemed this engaged and happy for quite some time.
In fact, some players are enjoying the OG season so much that they're calling for Epic to add the Chapter 1 map as a permanent game mode that can be selected at any time, rather than as a timed seasonal feature. One such player is Redditor LunaLynnTheCellist, who shared an image of themselves playing on the OG map with the caption, "God I hope OG stays as a permanent game mode. I haven't had this much fun with the game since the actual Chapter 1...".
