UK Switch owners will soon have one less option to get some boxing practice. This is because Fitness Boxing will no longer be available to buy on the UK eShop within a few months.
Nintendo UK announced the sudden loss on Twitter, and the last day to buy the game is November 30, 2023. No reason has been announced explaining why Fitness Boxing will be removed. Delistings can vary for any reason in a region, but many are a result of license expirations: these can be over specific music tracks and footage to even someone’s likeness.
From 30/11/2023, at 23:59 (UK time), it will no longer be possible to purchase the digital version of #FitnessBoxing.

Fitness Boxing never made a splash at the time of its release. In fact, reactions to this news have been indifferent, with one commenter stating they’ll buy the game for a pound. Its 2018 release did make it among the Switch’s first fitness games, beating Ring Fit Adventure by around a year. It still stands out as a game focused primarily on boxing, with each activity focusing on the sport. There are even two sequels! There hasn’t been any announcement regarding the US or Japanese digital releases, so they are likely safe for now. What’s even more odd about this situation is that Nintendo helped publish Fitness Boxing outside Japan.
Whatever reasons there are for Fitness Boxing‘s delisting in the UK, this news is unfortunate. Interest in the game may have waned over the years, but many developers worked hard on it. There likely are still people in the region who might consider picking it up, especially on a sale.
