The star of Netflix's First Kill has given an optimistic update about a potential season 2. Streaming exclusively on Netflix, First Kill season 1 released all eight episodes on June 10, 2022. The series is created by author Victoria Schwab (also known as V.E. Schwab), who is most well-known for her bestselling novels The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, the Shades of Magic series, and the Villains duology.
First Kill follows Juliette Fairmont (Sarah Catherine Hook), a teenage vampire descended from the demon Lilith, who was chosen to be bitten by the snake in the Garden of Eden. Juliette falls in love with the new girl in town, Calliope (Imani Lewis), who shares Juliette's romantic feelings — only for Juliette to discover that Cal is a monster hunter. The two struggle with their feelings for one another in First Kill season 1, while also trying to kill each other. The reviews for the series have been mixed, but in its first three days streaming on Netflix, First Kill was watched for 30.34 million hours worldwide.
