Married At First Sight season 15 will feature several new changes when the show premieres on July 6, including where the couples filmed and the experts who had a hand in matching them. Since 2014, MAFS has filmed dozens of unconventional marriages between individuals who haven't met prior to walking down the aisle. Whether each MAFS season's couples share similar personality traits, shared goals, or even opposite attributes that are thought to mesh well together, there's no guessing how each duo will fare throughout the eight-week experience. By the end, each MAFS marriage is put to the ultimate test on Decision Day, where individuals must decide whether they'll remain married or get divorced.
While some of the later seasons of MAFS have been criticized for their casting choices, the series has grown exponentially since the first season. Seasons 1 and 2, for example, were filmed in the New York City/northern New Jersey area and focused on three couples. It wasn't until season 7 that MAFS introduced a fourth match, although the series has continuously focused on a different part of the East Coast since season 3. As of July 2022, only a handful of marriages formed on MAFSare still intact, including Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner (season 1), Ashley Petta and Anthony D'Amico (season 5), and Kristine Killingsworth and Keith Dewar (season 8).
