Gazimon is a clawed, mammalian Digimon that players can befriend in Digimon Survive, the newest game to be released in the franchise. Digimon Survive follows eighth-grader Takuma Momozuka and his friends as they are somehow transported to an alternate world filled with Digimon. In order to survive, players need to collect Digimon by befriending them and asking them to join the team; Gazimon, like other Digimon found early in the game, can be obtained this way.
Befriending Digimon in Digimon Survive involves having conversations and answering a series of questions. The Digimon encountered throughout the game have different personalities, so players must answer questions in a way that connects with the Digimon's attributes. If players do not answer correctly, they will not befriend the Digimon and cannot use it on the team.

To befriend and get Gazimon in Digimon Survive, players need to earn at least three points by answering questions that appeal to its mischievous, yet understanding side. If players have already encountered and befriended the rock-like Digimon Gotsumon, they will recognize the questions; they are the same set that Gazimon can ask. Unlike Gotsumon, Gazimon sees humans and Digimon as being equal, so the correct answer choices appeal to this equality and mutual respect.
Players will encounter Gazimon in the beginning of Part 2 of Digimon Survive after opening up the Free Bat area. There are four Digimon that players can encounter in a fight in Free Bat: Gazimon, Biyomon, Betamon, and Gotsumon. Players should continue to search the area if Gazimon does not show up right away; there is a bit of RNG to which Digimon shows up.
