Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's Vincent Valentine is being voiced by famous voice actor Matthew Christopher Miller, better known as Matt Mercer.
The news was confirmed through the official Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Twitter account yesterday. Following the announcement, the popular voice actor took to Twitter to thank everyone for the positive energy. "A year of dreams culminates with this one", Mercer wrote. "No game has had the impact on me quite like FF7 did, and to be a part of it, let alone one of my favorite characters, is an honor beyond words."
The actor added, "Thank you all for the energy."

Mercer is known for his voice work on various Anime series as well as voicing numerous popular video game characters, including Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 6, Titanfall 2's Jack Cooper, MacCready in Fallout 4, Chrom and Ryoma in Fire Emblem, and many more.
Vincent Valentine, the iconic former Turk as seen in the original Final Fantasy VII, will also join your party in the upcoming next part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake - Rebirth. From the looks of it, Valentine won't be playable in Rebirth, but it's likely that this will be the case in the next part of the Remake.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth releases on February 29, 2024, for PlayStation 5. A PC release hasn't been announced just yet. We've included the game's release date announcement trailer below:
