The team of professional developers and artists behind Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project, a non-playable, fan-made passion project built in Unreal Engine 5 that aims to capture the world of Final Fantasy IX in modern graphics, has released the full 25-minute gameplay demo showcasing the concept in action.
Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project was developed over the course of three years, with the dedication of over 50 developers.
While Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project is only a fan proof of concept that will not be released as a playable product, Gematsu understands that an actual Final Fantasy IX remake by Square Enix is currently in development.
