NEOWIZ have been garnering a lot of attention with their Pinocchio-inspired soulslike game, Lies of P. It definitely isn’t the first dark take on Pinocchio (or even the only one from the past year), but its impressive and eye-catching style, impressive combat, and unique take on the story with a lot of eye-catching character designs have easily made it one more than worth checking out. And at today’s Summer Game Fest presentation, we finally learned when the game will be coming out, with a September release date revealed via a new trailer seen below.
The latest clip gives us a good look at Gepetto’s puppet as they travel through the ravaged city of Krat, surrounded by some striking scenery, haunting beauty, and a ton of freakish clockwork creation ready to potentially rip you apart. It looks like fun and challenging stuff, but if you want to see for yourself if that’s the case, then it was also announced that there’s a free demo available on Steam right now, covering the game’s first two chapters. Give it a whirl, then see about picking up Lies of P when it comes out on September 19 for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms.
