Unused party selection text in the original release of Final Fantasy 7 has some surprising nicknames for the playable characters, including calling Tifa "Miss Busty" and Aerith "Aeris <3 <3".
Considering how massive the original Final Fantasy 7 is (so massive that it's now being split into three parts with the remade trilogy), it's probably not too surprising to hear that it has quite a lot of cut content. However, you might be surprised at just how much cut dialogue and text there is from the game, including some cheeky nicknames for all of the party members. Cait Sith fans, you might want to look away.

As shared by Redditor Hadrian_x_Antinous on the Final Fantasy subreddit, the unused data was taken from the original game's international field dialogue, and it features a lot more jokes and weird text than the final release. The most notable examples of this are the nicknames given to Cloud and the rest of the gang. Unused text refers to Cloud as "Mr Cloud", and Barret as "Master Barret", but things only get weirder from there.
According to this unused dialogue, Tifa's nickname from the developers was "Miss Busty", or "Bazongas-chan", which is absolutely what I'm calling her from now on. Aerith got a much more respectable nickname, as the developers simply showed how much they loved her by referring to her as "Aeris <3 <3". Guess they've got a clear favourite, huh?
