A new PC mod for Final Fantasy VII Remake reimagines Cloud as Joaquin Phoenix's version of The Joker. Nearly two years after the title's launch on PS4, FF7 Remake finally received a PC port late last year in December. Square Enix published the game exclusively on the Epic Games Store to the chagrin of those who use Steam as their platform of choice. However, many would argue the remake isn't ready for primetime on PC regardless of the launcher.
This particular version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake launched in a poor state, with unstable frame rates even proving a problem for those with high-end rigs. Notably, the graphical fidelity suffered a fair few hiccups as well, especially in the textures department. Close-ups on character models look so out of sorts, in fact, that modders felt the need to fix 530 NPC faces in FF7R's PC version. Some members of the modding community have used their skills to add levity to the experience, though, with one mod, in particular, reimagining Sephiroth as McDonald's mascot Ronald McDonald.
