has no shortage of side quests and short questline to keep any Sole Survivor busy in between settlement building and looking for Shaun. While some demand an immediate hard choice be made, others are more of a slow burn, such as the trio of quests surrounding the strange Cabot House. What seems at first like a simple side job rapidly turns into an ethical dilemma that could potentially impact the entire Commonwealth.
The group of side quests in starts easily enough, with a ghoul named Edward Deegan approaching the Sole Survivor in one of three potential locations. He will offer a job to go and retrieve stolen property from some raiders, after which the head of the Cabot family, Jack, will have another job to retrieve a wayward family member. However, it is the third and finally quest for the Cabots that offers a difficult decision to the Sole Survivor regarding the fate of the family patriarch.
There are some great factions in Fallout 4 with a mixture of new and returning groups for the Sole Survivor to meet and potentially join up with.
When returning to Cabot House with Jack's sister, the Sole Survivor will be asked to accompany him to Parson State Insane Asylum to help stop a group of raiders from freeing Jack's father Lorenzo. During the journey there, Jack will explain his father's strange condition and why he's been imprisoned there since 1898. will culminate in the Sole Survivor being asked to make the final decision about Lorenzo's future, which can be made based on quest rewards or morals.
After fighting through the many raiders in the Asylum and picking up the Charisma bobblehead from Jack’s office, Jack will implore the Sole Survivor to activate the switches that will kill Lorenzo in his cage. However, instead Lorenzo can be spoken to where he will state that everything Jack has said about him is a lie. He attempts to cast doubt on Jack's mental state and reveals that the entire family has been feeding on his blood for over 400 years.
