Bethesda Softworks released Fallout 4 back in 2015, and players continue to discover tricks to thwart their enemies all these years later. Recently, one Fallout 4 player has discovered an extinguisher technique that not only damages nearby NPCs but can knock them out and temporarily stun them in the process.
Reddit user Birdgreen25 recently posted a clip of their adventures in the Boston commonwealth of Fallout 4's post-apocalyptic world in which they're delving through a building that's occupied by Raiders. TheFallout 4 player quickly reacts to a Raider Scum that's encroaching on their space in a living area next to some shelves and a kitchen by shooting a fire extinguisher on the wall. Not knowing what would happen after shooting the red canister, Birdgreen25 is pleasantly surprised to see it work out in their favor rather than resulting in a wasted round.

Birdgreen25's clip begins with the player hiding partially obstructed behind a shelf as a Raider in Fallout 4rounds the near corner and lingers in the darkness for a moment. Birdgreen25 then shoots at the Raider Scum but narrowly misses and hits a fire extinguisher hanging on the nearby wall which then blows up and hits the enemy like a projectile, causing them to fall to their knees before completely collapsing. The video ends before Birdgreen25 is able to fully capitalize on the stunned Raider, but it shows the effectiveness of simply using tools in the environment in a fight.
