Red Dead Online gives players the opportunity to explore Rockstar Games' take on the Old West alongside friends. However, there's also a good opportunity for antagonist behavior within the game.
Chances are, the average Red Dead Online player has encountered another person who wanted to ruin their day, or at least their in-game progress. This particular case of trolling isn't quite that serious, but it is gross.
Red Dead Online Player Jump-Scared by Modder Playing as a Child
Over on the Red Dead Online subreddit, user Bananabob14173 shared a short video of their character sitting at a campfire with a few others beside them. They're attempting to cook meat over the fire, when one of the people sitting next to them takes advantage of the situation. The player to the left of Bananabob14173 casually spits in the direction of the meat as they're cooking it. If there were any thought that it was a mistake, the second player quickly corrects it, as Bananabob14173 takes another piece of pork out and begins cooking it, just for them to repeat the action. He then finishes cooking and stares suspiciously at the pork.
Of course, no real harm is actually being done here. Spitting is a common emote in Red Dead Online, and while it may be repulsive to use it in this manner, it doesn't actually impact the cooking or food. The comments quickly revealed that it was a bit of fun between friends in the game, and it definitely amused, with others commenting about the way Bananabob14173 studies the meat after it's been spat on.
Thankfully, this use of the spit emote is totally harmless. The emote has the potential to be distressing if used in certain ways, and it's not limited to Red Dead Online. In fact, World of Warcraft players lost their own
