As most fans would agree, the enduring popularity of Stardew Valley is largely due to continual, substantial updates to the game. The sheer amount of content Stardew Valley has given players to explore over the past few years has kept fans engaged with the 2016 game. In 2018, the game's creator ConcernedApe released version 1.3 of the game, which introduced a co-operative mode to the idyllic farm simulator. While Stardew Valley'smultiplayer mode does have some limitations, it is implemented in a way that makes playing with another player really rewarding.
The Stardew Valley co-op mode doesn't support cross-platform play, and remote players will need their own copy of the game/subscription to their console's online services. While ConcernedApe works on the upcoming Haunted Chocolatier, there are no immediate plans for more Stardew updates so now is a great time to check out what the co-op mode has to offer.
