Exclusive: Valiant's BOOK OF SHADOWS #1 Launches Brand-New Supernatural Team

Screen Rant has an exclusive first look at the cover for Valiant Entertainment's upcoming Book of Shadows #1, featuring a team-up of the universe's most formidable supernatural heroes. Having just wrapped up his work on Shadowman, writer Cullen Bunn is returning to pen the character once more, along with other notable Valiant characters such as Eternal Warrior and Punk Mambo.

Since Valiant's 2012 revival, the company has had a number of tales with a supernatural or horror bent. Jack Boniface, also known as the Shadowman, is the Valiant Universe's leading fighter against the evil forces of the ethereal Deadside, often led by Jack's archenemy, Master Darque. Other heroes have tangled with the afterlife in their own series such as Punk Mambo and The Death-Defying Doctor Mirage.

Now, these heroes who have battled the worst the supernatural has to offer are coming together to fight possibly the most dangerous and horrifying threat yet. Book of Shadows will see Shadowman join forces with Punk Mambo, Eternal Warrior and Doctor Mirage to defeat the evil Exarch Fane, who has acquired the titular Book of Shadows. Valiant has shared a solicitation for the upcoming first issue of Book of Shadows #1 by Cullen Bunn and Vicente Cifuentes as well as four of the issue's covers.
