The Evolution Championship Series, also known as EVO, is one of the most famous events in esports. This year Street Fighter 6 will be part of the exciting tournaments that attract fans from all over the world.

EVO 2023 will take place August 4-6 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, the traditional venue that usually hosts the event. This year fans will have the returns of Guilty Gear Strive, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Tekken 7, King of Fighters 15, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate to look forward to, all of which were on the lineup for EVO 2022. What's new for EVO 2023 is the Street Fighter 6 debut, which will also be the official Capcom Pro Tour 2023 game. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 a title much loved for being part of EVO's history, is also making a return.
Fans will soon focus their attention on EVO Japan as well. The EVO «spinoff» had its first edition held in 2018, bringing the thrilling matches of its Western counterpart to Japan. This year's EVO Japan will take place between March 31 and April 2, with a lineup of 8 main games, most notably Granblue Fantasy: Versus and Virtual Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown. In addition to tournaments and potential game announcements, EVO Japan 2023 will mark the start of the Tekken 8 closed alpha test.
