As acclaim continues to pour in, Paramount+ has greenlit Evil season 4. Katja Herbers leads the cast of the horror-thriller series as Dr. Kristen Bouchard, a forensic psychologist who begins working with Mike Colter's David Acosta, a former journalist studying to be a Catholic priest, to investigate cases with potential supernatural and demonic ties. Evil revolves around Kristen and David's complicated relationship with each other, their faith and Michael Emerson's malevolent Dr. Leland Townsend, who has dark ties to demonic forces and has his sights set on Kristen and David.
Evil season 3 picked up right on the heels of the season 2 finale, in which David has been officially ordained as a Catholic priest and Kristen broke down and tearfully confessed to murdering serial killer Orson LeRoux, with the two sharing a kiss after he absolves her of her sins. The latest chapter of the series has explored this complicated new dynamic between the two, including David's temptation from a succubus, as well as his involvement with an espionage unit within the Catholic church and Ben's struggles processing their various cases. Much like its predecessors, Evil season 3 has scored widespread critical acclaim and its future is looking even brighter.
