Warning: Spoilers For Netflix's Resident Evil
Netflix's Resident Evil was roundly critiqued for its lack of faithfulness to its video game source, but there is one gameplay element the series paid attention to. The Resident Evil film franchise fronted by Milla Jovovich ran for six movies, and they are — to date — the most successful movies based on a gaming property. Since the games debuted in the late '90s, Resident Evil has appeared in just about every medium. From comics to anime movies, there's a different flavor for every fan. The show appears to have been a ratings success for Netflix, though it's been met with largely negative reviews, both for its large deviations from the games to its writing and performances.
