Capcom has released a new trailer for Resident Evil Village Gold Edition.
Set for release on October 28, Gold Edition will include the base game with three major new features, which will also be released separately as Winters’ Expansion.
An update to Mercenaries mode called Additional Orders, which is the focus of the latest trailer below, introduces new playable characters including Lady Dimitrescu, Chris Redfield and Heisenberg.
Winters’ Expansion will also include a third-person mode, allowing players to see the protagonist Ethan as they play instead of playing in a first-person perspective.
And the expansion will include new story DLC called Shadows of Rose, which can also only be played in third-person mode.
Shadows of Rose has players controlling Ethan’s daughter Rose, who’s now older. The story is a sequel of sorts to Village, and lets players “experience Rose’s struggles with the terrifying powers she was born with”.
“To break free of the curse of her powers, she enters the consciousness of the Megamycete,” Capcom‘s description reads. “There, she meets a girl who looks just like her.
“In this mysterious realm of consciousness, time and space is warped beyond recognition. Rose is guided by a being who calls himself Michael, who might be of assistance with removing her powers.”
Resident Evil Re:Verse, the delayed multiplayer Resident Evil game that was originally supposed to launch last summer, will also begin service on October 28.
Capcom recently announced plans to release Resident Evil Village for PlayStation VR 2.
