Evil Dead: The Game is a perfect love-letter to die-hard Evil Dead purists, and has garnered the interest of gamers who long for a new asymmetrical horror title to dethrone Dead by Daylight. Though it is nothing similar to Dead by Daylight, it does fit that genre and pits survivor characters against a killer character who attempts to thwart them from completing objectives. Evil Dead: The Game’s only map so far is surprisingly extensive, but it is unknown when its next map, Castle Kandar from Army of Darkness, will make its debut.
It was previously announced from developer Saber Interactive that Evil Dead: The Game will feature four DLC updates packaged into its first Season Pass, which fans will already have secured if they had pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition or the Collector’s Edition. While it is clear that Saber intends to add DLC at some point, when these updates will be released is a mystery, and may be why players have decided not to purchase the game in its early condition. As such, Evil Dead: The Game could entice players if it were to appear on PlayStation Plus as one of its monthly incentives.

If Evil Dead: The Game became available as part of one of PlayStation Plus’ monthly downloadable titles, fans who are interested in it but are not sure what the state of its longevity will be like could be introduced to it.
