Evil Dead: The Game currently features three different Demon classes to choose from, but out of those three, the Necromancer is clearly the best and needs to be nerfed. In Survivor vs Demon — the main PvP game mode of Evil Dead: The Game — a team of four survivors must work together to defeat one Demon-controlled player, who wields an army of possessed creatures at their disposal. While the Warlord and Puppeteer classes present their own unique challenges for Evil Dead's beginner Survivors to overcome, the Necromancer is currently the most powerful, as they're able to command powerful units that don't succumb as easily to melee attacks. Factor in possibly the strongest boss unit in Evil Ash, and it can feel as if the odds are stacked too heavily against Survivors once a round commences.
The Necromancer class in Evil Dead: The Game is inspired by the third film in the series, Army of Darkness, which saw protagonist Ash Williams forcibly travel back through time to wage war against the Deadites following the conclusion of Evil Dead 2. Its skeletal units also share a medieval theme, boasting weaponry, armor, and shields. Although Evil Dead: The Game's Warlord and Puppeteer units can also cause problems for survivors in large numbers, the fact that the Necromancer's weaken melee effectiveness presents a bigger obstacle. Ammo is scarce, and while high-level Hunters should be able to more effectively counter Necromancer units, they can be particularly difficult to deal with in both the early and latter stages of a given round.
