The new indie game Escape Academy is full of escape-room-style puzzles for players to sink their teeth into. In the game, players take on the role of new students initiated into the Escape Academy after being vetted by the Academy's Headmaster. Throughout their puzzle-filled education, players will interact with various recurring characters, like the Headmaster, Jeb, and Eel.

While players will be thrown into a world of escape rooms very early into their academic career in Escape Academy, players will be tasked by the Headmaster to assist in Eel's breakout. Eel is locked up by the anti-escape scientists on a prison ship, and the player is tasked to operate as mission control for the Headmaster's exfiltration of Eel. Players must successfully aid the Headmaster in this attempt to complete The Breakout.

In Escape Academy's puzzle The Breakout, players will be operating in a small room, responding and reacting to audio communications and visual feeds from the prison break. The majority of interactions will be through a radio on the center desk, where players will send various 10-codes or other number-related messages. Unfortunately, The Breakout is the first puzzle in Escape Academy to time-lock progression behind voice-overs, meaning players must wait for a question to be asked to respond.
