The Trickster Class originated in Fire Emblem Awakening and made a recent return in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. However, this Class was locked behind the Cindered Shadows DLC. Fortunately for those who didn't purchase Cindered Shadows, the Trickster Class is available in Fire Emblem: Three Hopes as a Master Class.
Tricksters excel in swords, bows, and can even use magic. Just like in Three Houses, they serve as the Master Class to the Thief-Assassin Classes in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Since Trickster isn't DLC-locked this time, it's much easier to build units that make ideal Assassins. A unit with high speed and dexterity can bring out the full potential of the Trickster Class.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes — Best Swords (& Where to find them)
A Trickster's best stats are their Speed, Dexterity, and Luck. Their potential to use Magic means they can use Reason and Faith, something Assassins and Thieves cannot. While Three Houses had them excel in swords and bows, Three Hopes narrows down the Trickster's best weapon to swords. This means they'll have the weapon advantage against axes, but a disadvantage against lances.

Characters are unable to learn both Locktouch and Lucky Seven by mastering the Trickster Class. However, some can learn Pass, and a downplayed version of Axe Buster: Axebreaker, which deals 50% damage as opposed to 95%. Other units may learn Patience, which deals extra damage to the stun gauge when units are charging an attack.
