Gifts serve an extremely similar purpose in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes as they did in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Every character has a bio that lists their likes and dislikes. Giving a gift that aligns with someone's preference will give an additional Support Point and boost their Motivation by one level. Since Motivation has an impact on the damage units inflict in battle in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, it's recommended for players to keep their favorite units motivated by one level. Thus, players should make sure they're well-stocked on certain Gifts.

The easiest way to get Gifts is by purchasing them at the Item Shopkeeper. The more players upgrade the Item Shopkeeper Facility at camp, the more Gifts will become available. Particularly, this is the Merchant Network, which will expand the number of Gifts that are stocked. Rarer Gifts like the Board Game and Coffee Beans won't be available until the facility has reached Merchant Network 3. Since higher upgrades require higher-quality Materials, players will have to make some progress in the main story if they want to upgrade the Item Shopkeeper. To decrease the price of Gifts, players will need to upgrade the Luxuries Distribution part of the Facility. Each Gift can be bought five times and will be restocked by the start of a new chapter.
