While the modern FromSoftware games have historically been well-regarded as some of the finest RPGs of all time, even the company's latest and greatest releases, such as Elden Ring, feature deliberately obtuse multiplayer systems and mechanics. Charming as these might be at first, these systems come in the way of regular co-operative multiplayer action in more ways than not.
To that end, the community has decided to set up a superior cooperative Elden Ring experience via unofficial mods. While this may have seemed like a pipe dream at one point in time, the developers seem to have a working system in place by now, and it's supposed to be coming out in just a few short days at the time of writing this article.

According to the developers of the Seamless Coop mod for Elden Ring, this unofficial upgrade for the game will remove any and all multiplayer boundaries that the base game has in place by default, and allow up to four players to join one another on an adventure in the Lands Between. With its public beta set to launch on May 27, Seamless Coop might be the most exciting mod the game's had yet, and will certainly be among the must-have Elden Ring mods on PC.
The majority of modding projects for this game have been curiosities up until now, though some ended up offering some interesting situations, such as the one where all Elden Ring bosses fought against each other in real-time. The Seamless Coop mod, on the other hand, is adding hugely important multiplayer functionality for players that just want to enjoy persistent co-op gameplay with friends.
