Elden Ring Player Shows What Happens If Players Beat Godrick Before Phase 2
Elden Ring has captivated players since it was released last month, becoming FromSoftware's biggest launch ever with its peak concurrent players on Steam being more than double all of its previous games combined. Now that players have had a chance to jump into the latest Soulsborne title, many have been discovering fun secrets in the game or giving themselves challenges, such as completing Elden Ring using the Ring Fit Controller.
Video games, even open-world ones, typically have an order that missions and boss fights are expected to be completed. This means that if players manage to complete things in the wrong order or become a lot more powerful than intended at that point in the game, it can be easy to break the game which can lead to some interesting results. This can be as simple as having more runes in Elden Ring than players should at the start of the game, or being able to defeat bosses with ease.

One of the most memorable boss fights in Elden Ring is against Godrick The Grafted. During the battle, a cutscene triggers which sees Godrick slice off his own arm before ripping the head off a dragon to use it as a flamethrower for the second part of the fight. However, Reddit user u/LunarGuardian was able to sequence break the game and showed off a screenshot of the dragon's head still being attached at the conclusion of the boss fight.
