One wouldn’t expect two games as vastly different as Elden Ring and Sonic The Hedgehog to go well together, but one player recently brought SEGA’s Blue Blur into the harsh world of the Lands Between — complete with his signature Spin Dash. Elden Ring has only been out about a month, but FromSoftware’s latest dark RPG is already being considered one of the highest-selling video games of the year. Twitch streams of Elden Ring quickly became some of the social media website’s most viewed feeds, memes involving Elden Ring bosses like Radahn have spread like wildfire across the internet, and FromSoftware recently announced that it is looking to branch Elden Ring into a media franchise to capitalize on the game’s overnight success.
Written with the help of legendary Game Of Thrones scribe George R.R. Martin, Elden Ring puts players in the role of Tarnished, a fully customizable exile on a quest to gather the lost fragments of the titular Elden Ring and become the new Elden Lord. As to be expected with any video game featuring an in-depth character creator, players have recreated various fictional characters to place in the medieval world of Elden Ring. These range from somewhat-understandable choices like Ciri from The Witcher 3 or Gandalf from The Lord Of The Rings, while others have been far more outlandish — such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nigel Thornberry from The Wild Thornberrys, or even Ross Gellar from Friends.
