Spider-Man No Way Home: Fans Upset About Missing Deleted Scenes On Blu-ray
Marvel fans who have purchased the Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD of Spider-Man: No Way Home have voiced their anger at the fact that it does not include any deleted or extended scenes. The smash MCU flick was given its physical home media release in the US today – Tuesday, April 12 – after its digital release about a month ago. It came out in theaters in December of last year, breaking records as the highest-grossing theatrical release post-COVID.
The movie picks up right after Peter Parker (Tom Holland) had his identity as Spider-Man revealed to the world by Mysterio, who also framed him for his murder. Now, with the entire world seemingly against him, he turns to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help, asking him to make it so that the public never discovered his secret. When Strange's spell goes wrong, it results in a multiversal event that brings in villains from other universes and teaches Peter what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

The marketing and promotion for the film's physical home media release advertised that it would come with 90 minutes of bonus content, including deleted and extended scenes. However, as The Direct reports, the actual Blu-ray now lists 80 minutes of extra footage instead of 90, and instead of "deleted and extended scenes" it names a featurette called «Spider-Men Unite.» This happens to match the bonus content included in the movie's Blu-ray release in the UK, which was a week ago, which leads many disappointed fans to blame Sony for false advertisement.
