Players may have unlocked a bright red B1 battle droid in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga by the name of Mister Bones. The strange name, accompanied by the bone fragments which adorn the droid's shoulders and head, make Mister Bones sound like something of a joke, but he is in fact a canon Star Wars character. Mister Bones is one of the more obscure characters to be included in the huge list of playable Star Wars characters in LEGO Skywalker Saga, but he's got an interesting backstory from the Star Wars: Aftermath novel trilogy, which the game unfortunately never broaches.
The opportunity to unlock Mister Bones comes rather late if players start LEGO Skywalker Saga from Episode I, or play them in release order. In the latter sections based on The Rise of Skywalker, a side mission in the Exegol Space area will have Mister Bones as a reward. Players will have to complete the "Scramble Run: Exegol" race in 55 seconds or less to unlock Mister Bones, the side mission's gold reward. Even after he's unlocked, Mister Bones will have to be purchased in the Characters menu for 100,000 Studs.

Mister Bones first appeared in Aftermath, a novel first published in 2015 that delineates some of the struggles the fledgling New Republic faces in the wake of a collapsing Galactic Empire following the events of Return of the Jedi. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga breaks canon plenty of times, and includes Mister Bones even though he's never featured in any of the mainline films. Anyone looking to unlock Mister Bones without playing through a large portion of the game can also enter the code "BAC1CKP" in the pause menu.
